Data experiences should be easy to use and understand. And yet today it’s too hard for most people to show value or share stories with data because it requires specialized skills, knowledge and frameworks.
For builders, Ridge guides you in designing analytics that answer business questions. No learning curves, no fiddly product interfaces, no dedicated analytics team required.
For end-users, Ridge provides a compelling, easy-to-use experience: big-picture visual storytelling paired with a natural-language data agent to answer follow-up questions.
Interactive.
Within a data story are many sub-stories. These stories come to life when people can explore the data. There is tremendous potential to innovate on how people work with data, and we're on the forefront of exploring this area.
In the dashboard that means direct interaction: users can sort, filter or see tooltips. Selecting the data itself provides another way to explore.
An AI-based data agent lives alongside the dashboard and solves one of the longest-standing problems in analytics: the need for people to ask additional questions.
In Ridge, these are not separate worlds. Dashboard affordances can be applied to one or more questions in the Data Agent with Linked Interactivity, making both experiences more powerful.
Our vision is to make all of these tools available to both human users and AI agents so people can find the stories that matter to them.
Fast.
Bad performance has inhibited data on the web since there was data and since there was a web. When we know people expect sub-second response times online, why do we expect them to spend time with laggy data interfaces?
Drawing on developments in browser-based technology and new research, we’re delivering interactive data experiences that are an order of magnitude more performant than prior generations of technology.
Composable.
Ridge AI integrates easily with other systems so that you have analytics whenever you need them. Ridge supports three types of integrations:
Host app or workflow
Data is most effective when it’s alongside everyday work. Ridge is designed to be an integral part of the host app or workflow, interleaved into the experience.
Our vision is that anyone, whether human or agent, can create analytics as needed, programmatically.
Ridge's Embedding SDK supports theming, permissioning, and setting filters and selections. We are continuously exppanding our APIs to support more workflows.
Data stack
Ridge respects semantics and governance that you’ve defined centrally.
Ridge's browser-based architecture also makes serving analytics much more cost-effective than products that push compute down to the database layer, since computation happens in the user's browser.
Action and context
When you need to get context from or take action in other applications, Ridge's APIs let you do that.
