You can now build a Ridge dashboard from a picture 🖼️
Our Build Agent has two jobs: help you get clear on the questions you want to answer with your data, and take care of building the dashboard that answers them. Sometimes the fastest way to say what you want is to show it: a dashboard you like, a screenshot from a report, or a quick sketch on paper.

Three examples in the video:
- Recreating the LMArena leaderboard from a screenshot, using most recent data 🤖
- Turning a sketched dashboard into a real one for FAA bird strikes (using Jeff Heer’s new hot-off-the-press point maps 🌎)
- Exploring Kanagawa wave statistics inspired by Hokusai’s Great Wave 🌊
Build in Claude. Build in legacy BI. Ridge deploys it all.
Claude Dashboards have been all the rage in the analytics world in the last few weeks. And rightly so– it’s a huge enabler for non-experts working with data. Many throwaway artifacts will get built, and that’s ok.
But what about the analytics you want to scale, govern, refresh, and make decisions on? Claude dashboards aren’t deployable on their own. That’s when you point Ridge at an image of your dashboard or at the raw html. You’ll get an interactive, deployable version in the Ridge platform.
Oh, and because Claude can’t handle much data it aggregates it up. Point Ridge at the same data and you’ll be able to deploy the dashboard– but with the full data, and full interactivity.
One last thing: take your favorite dashboard from legacy Business Intelligence and drop it into Ridge. You’ll see it running fast, interactively– maybe for the first time ever. 😀
How it works
Drop in that image and the Build Agent recreates it with your own data, either as closely as possible or as loose inspiration. The image doesn't need to match your data. It might show fields you don't have or a chart type we don't support (no Chernoff faces yet, sorry 😐).
Before the Build Agent creates anything, it works out how each part of the image maps onto your data and our charts. It then tells you what it will adapt or leave out. After the first build, it compares the dashboard to your image and revises it. And as always, you can keep refining from there.
Images also work as reference documents more generally. Attach a screenshot to a dashboard, and the agent consults it whenever you mention it in a prompt.
